How is BacklinkOS different from a spreadsheet?

You can run link building on a spreadsheet — for a while. Eventually, you'll need to share status with your link partner, and they'll have their own sheet. You'll need to find new partners, and you'll be back in cold-email territory. You'll need to know when links go missing, and you'll be checking them by hand. BacklinkOS handles all of that natively.

What does 'automated link monitoring' mean?

BacklinkOS periodically checks whether your backlinks are still live, have been removed, changed to nofollow, or marked as sponsored. Monitoring runs monthly on Pro and weekly on Pro Max. When something changes you get an email, plus a Slack alert if you have Slack connected, your collaborator is notified in the app, and the change is logged in both your and your collaborator's Link Status Report.

What are instant link checks?

Instant link checks let you verify the current status of any link on demand, right now — without waiting for the next scheduled monitoring cycle. Useful when you've just published a link or suspect a change. Your collaborator also sees the updated status instantly.

What happens when a link is removed?
